How To Find a Guardian Dental Insurance Provider

Find a Guardian Dental Insurance Provider At HQ dental Design

At HQ Dental Design, we offer expert care backed by Guardian Dental Insurance. Keep your smile bright and protected with trusted coverage and quality service

Are you planning to get a dental insurance policy from Guardian? It can be difficult to find a dental insurance plan provider that suits your needs and budget, especially when there are so many different coverage levels and costs to compare.

If you're looking for ways to keep costs down, you can find a low-cost dentist in your insurance network. If you expect more expensive care, like wisdom tooth extraction, the surgery may seem difficult.

We can facilitate the process. You can find out more about Guardian dental insurance by reading our provider evaluation, which includes a summary of their plan options and certain advantages and disadvantages of selecting one of their plans. We will also provide options for Guardian dental plans to help you select the most affordable dental care.

Describe the Guardian Dental Insurance

The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, with its headquarters in Manhattan and more than 70 agencies around the country, includes Guardian Dental Insurance. To make it easier for policyholders to get the treatment and services they require, Guardian provides four different types of dental insurance coverage.

An Overview of Guardian Dental Insurance

Advantages of Guardian Dental Insurance Provider

Selecting a Guardian dental plan has the following advantages:

  • Different types of insurance available: Plans for life, disability, eyesight, accident, critical sickness, and hospital coverage are also available to policyholders.
  • Major opportunities for service coverage: Up to 50% of major care, implants dentures, and orthodontics are covered under higher-premium insurance.
  • Options for Teeth whitening: 50% of teeth-whitening procedures are covered by the Diamond plan.

Disadvantages of Guardian Dental Insurance Provider

The following are some of Guardian Dental Plans' disadvantages:

  • Postponed coverage: If policyholders choose to pay via credit card or Automated Clearing House (ACH), coverage starts on the first day of the subsequent month after enrollment.
  • Reduced Maximum Payout: The Starter plan only pays out a maximum of $500 in the first year and $1,000 by the third, whilst the highest-premium plan, Diamond, has an annual maximum payout of just $1,500.
  • Starter policyholders are not covered for major care: Implants, dentures, orthodontia, oral surgery, crowns, complicated extractions, and other significant care treatments are not covered by the lowest-premium plan.

Guardian Dental Insurance Plan Types and Coverage

The coverage offered by Guardian dental insurance plans will be examined. State-specific coverage may differ. The cost of the plan varies according to the coverage offered, with monthly payments as low as $15.

1. Guardian Diamond

The most coverage is available for the highest monthly payment with Guardian's Diamond plan. All dental services may be fully or partially covered for policyholders.

There are no waiting periods for any preventative treatment, which is fully covered, or basic care, such as tooth fillings, which is 80% covered. Additionally, major services like crowns or complicated extractions, implants, dentures, orthodontia, and teeth whitening are covered at 50% for Diamond policyholders.

There are some exclusions, such as dental implants, orthodontics, and teeth whitening, which have lifetime or yearly payouts of $500 to $1,000, although the maximum payout is $1,500 per year. Guardian offers a $50 deductible for all other dental services including out-of-network care, while there is no deductible for in-network preventative care. There is an additional $50 deductible for teeth whitening.

2. The Guardian Achiever

Preventative treatment is 100% covered under Guardian's Achiever plan. 70% of basic care is covered, and there is no waiting period for either basic or preventative treatment. Teeth whitening is not covered, however major care, implants, dentures, and orthodontics are, up to 50%, with a 12-month waiting time.

Policyholders' maximum benefits rise with each additional year up to their third year. A maximum of $1,000 will be paid out by Guardian in the first year, $1,250 in the second, and $1,500 in the third. However, the lifetime maximum for dental implants and orthodontics is $1,000 (with an annual maximum of $500 for orthodontics).

Guardian offers a $50 deductible for all other dental services including out-of-network care, while there is no deductible for in-network preventative care.

3. Guardian Core

Preventative, basic, and some major care services are covered by Guardian's Core. There are no waiting periods and 80% and 50% coverage, respectively, for preventative and basic care services. Orthodontics and tooth whitening are not covered by the Core plan, but major treatment, implants, and dentures are 50% covered with a 12-month waiting period.

The policyholder's maximum payouts rise with each year of coverage, from $500 in the first year to $1,000 in the third. However, dental implants have a separate lifetime maximum of $700. All other dental services and out-of-network care have a $50 deductible, while in-network preventive care has no deductible.
