● Take any medication prescribed by your dentist on schedule. The night before surgery, take the first dose. The next morning, take the second dose with water.
● If taking IV sedation, do not eat or drink anything at midnight.
● Wear very easy, loose-fitting, comfortable clothes that are easy to put on and take off. Please leave all valuable items at home.
● Clean your nails and remove nail polish.
● You cannot drive when under general anesthesia. Even if you take a taxi, you should go with a responsible person. This person will follow your directions and take you home. You need to have someone stay with you for 24 hours after your surgery to take care of you.
When you Reach the Dentist .
● If you will be under general anesthesia, you should not eat or drink anything for 8 hours before your surgery. This includes water, gum, and candy. Your stomach should be empty. If you eat or drink, your procedure may be postponed. Take your daily medicine with a little sip of water.
● Kindly be on time. To check in and do any required paperwork, arrive at your appointment fifteen minutes early. Although previous procedures can sometimes take longer than expected, you can be confident that we will give you our complete focus when it's your turn.
● Take complete rest after surgery.
● Before the surgery, all payments must be made. Please be prepared to make the agreed-upon payment if you have set up a different payment schedule. Anesthesia, hospital, and surgical center patients are required to make separate payment agreements with these facilities. Cash, checks, cashier's checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and CareCredit are all accepted forms of payment.
● Please discuss all pre-surgical and post-operative instructions, as well as any prescription and non-prescription medications, with your doctor before surgery if necessary.
